Winnie Perilla CanupGrants, Case Writer, Persuasive Writing and Development Consulting
A professional writer for over twenty years, for the past five years, Winnie has focused on all aspects of development writing – case statements, grant proposals, annual reports, acknowledgement and stewardship documents and letters of intent.  Accomplished in both local foundation and federal government proposals, Winnie’s successful proposals include a $750,000 award from the Administration for Children and Families.   A member of the dynamic steering committee which developed the vision of Seven Hills School and moved that vision into reality, Winnie served as chair of the location committee and directed efforts to find, procure and work with city planners on the school’s founding location.  Winnie has taught both fourth grade and nursery school and was a licensed child-care provider in the state of Maryland.  Her three children attended Montessori school in Maryland for five years. 

Wendy H. Eastman – Major and Planned Giving
Wendy began her nonprofit career at the Washington State University Foundation in 1995. By 1997 she became Assistant Director of Gift and Estate Planning there. Family career changes led her to Richmond where she now serves as Executive Director of Development at Randolph–Macon College where she is responsible for major gifts, planned giving, stewardship/donor relations, corporate/foundation relations, research/prospect management and athletic fundraising. In her work she has developed systems, procedures and standards for planned giving, written campaign plans and managed IT/database issues. She has planned events including an annual Estate Planning Seminar for Professionals. A member of the board of the Virginia Gift Planning Council, Wendy is able to bring insight and wisdom to major and planned giving program development projects.

Laura Wright – Event Planning
After a successful career in marketing for the commercial real estate profession, Laura turned her attention to consulting. Her resent accolades include the repositioning of Car Pool (a Richmond car wash chain), the planning of Dr. Allen Greenspan’s speaking engagement for Davenport & Company – an event for 1700 customers held at the Richmond Marriott, and a project with Jane Walker & Associates coordinating a free fundraising breakfast for the Greater Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross which is based on the nationally acclaimed Benevon (Raising More Money) model. The event raised in excess of $300,000.

Susan Downey Rockwell – Institutional Advancement
Susan brings eighteen years of experience working in non-profit work environments specializing in institutional advancement. She began her career at M.I.T, eventually building her resume to include Harvard Business School, Boston College and the Council of Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Most notably, Susan created an alumni and development program and eventually initiated an endowment for Newbury College. Family career changes led her to Richmond four years ago, and most currently, she has worked with Reach Out and Read Virginia to help build financial sustainability. In addition, she has a MA in Communications from Boston University and has significant marketing, public relations and event planning experience.
